| During his third year of doctoral studies, Dr. Williams was awarded a merit-based federal grant to complete his dissertation as a research fellow for the Oregon Research Institute. And in 1996, AMACOM Books published Dr. Williams first book, Getting a Project Done On Time. This academic foundation in design and development, coupled with years of experience in the production and implementation of commercial solutions to corporate training challenges, makes Dr. Williams unique in his field. Some of the companies that Dr. Williams has worked with to produce performance improvements include OxyChem, Hoechst Celanese, Delta Distributing, Mobil (Exploration and Producing, U.S. and the retail side of the company), JCPenney, Comerica Bank, BankOne, Intecom, Ericsson and Northern Telecom (Nortel), to name just a few. As a result of his diverse client base, Dr. Williams has developed a substantial understanding of business needs that are unique within industries and that are common across industries. The virtual corporation concept that Dr. Williams applies to large scale projects, where other professionals with complementary specialties are called in, provides clients with the economies of entrepreneurialism and the breadth of a large, responsive team. The outsourcing lessons that large corporations have learned during periods of downsizing and re-engineering were built into the way Commercial Solutions does business from the beginning. Dr. Williams earned his B.A. and M.A. in Psychology from Western Michigan University, specializing in Applied Behavior Analysis. He earned his Ph.D. in Education from the University of Oregon. He synthesizes his expertise in behavioral technology, measurement, instructional design and business to produce highly targeted solutions for corporate learning challenges. Dr. Williams continually strives to upgrade the quality of products and services he provides to his clients. |
